Training for Ministry:
- Church Staff Meetings/Special Training Sessions
Occasionally you want time with a special speaker on a current challenge in classes. You may want a specific topic covered for your teachers or a specialized ministry needs specific training (e.g. fair ministry) or a particular opportunity in the community (e.g. Children's Workers Conference) needs direction. The local CEF® staff may be available to help. You can locate your local worker by following the Michigan Staff link.
- Teaching Children Effectively™
Teaching Children Effectively is a 30-hour course taken in 8 to 12 weeks, designed to provide methods and procedures for teachers to lead children to Christ and begin equipping them for their new life as believers. Accreditation is available upon completion of the course from the Children's Ministry Institute® in Warrenton, MO upon completion of the course. Students may earn 5 Christian Education Units (CEUs) for completing the course. A nominal fee is charged which includes all materials. Subjects include The Importance of Conversion, Bible Lesson Preparation and Presentation, Counseling the Child for Salvation, The Importance of the Teacher, and Discipline.
